I have read that 3.0 USB hubs is a problem on some Macs so I am not as concerned about it but I am curious as to why the external drive isn't being configured as 3.0. Question: Q: how to reset 3.0 usb ports on 2012 Mac Mini I have a bus powered 3.0 WD My Passport for Mac external drive attached to the USB port closest to the Thunderbolt port. Can't really remember for sure.Īny suggestions or am I just going to have to live with 2.0 USB ports now or is the Mac not seeing the external as 3.0 because it is bus powered?
